I'm using the PC version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Everything installed correctly. When playing, on an average of every 10 seconds, the game reacts as if the skylander was removed from the portal. It isn't, so the game 'loads' the 'new' skylander and continues after the cinematic. This is extremely annoying as it can interrupt some delicate situations.
I've tested the portal on another PC and everything works 100%, so that leads me to believe that it is something related to the PC itself. Both PC's are using 64-bit Windows 7. The working PC has much stronger hardware, but I can't see how this would be the problem. The non-working PC installed the game from a user account with standard UAC set (asking for admin password to install). The working PC installed the game directly from the admin account with standard UAC also in place.
Are there specific settings that could cause this portal behaviour?
Have you ever tried to explain to a frustrated 8-year old?
So just to be clear. I've confirmed that all Skylanders hardware and software works 100%, so it's not an Activision issue, but I am hoping that someone here would have insight into how the PC version could have these issues.
