How do I create an Activate Account?

I tried to create an Activate account in Lost Islands by choosing both the connect facebook button and the activate button but both result in an error. It says I may only login with a facebook account that is already associated with an Activate account.

I would prefer to create a pure Activate account but can go the route of creating it via facebook if necessary.
