Playing on iPhone haven't played in ages so it of course I have to log back in, so I hit the transfer safe button because I believe that's what it meant transferring a safe file from cloud or your Activate account onto the device.

but no apparently it means wiping the whole save data and starting again. Fix it as I'm upset that months of work on this game is now all lost. Please, and also do the favour of helping other people and fixing the Transfer Save option and making it into an option what everyone believes it is.
