Black ops 3 Mtn dew 2xp code says activision account must be linked when the account is already linked.

I have tried to enter in my Double xp code for zombies that was under the mountain dew cap to the website multiple times. However, every time I try, it says my activision account must be linked, even though it says that my activision account is linked under the "My Profile" tab. Any help?
